Photographers could take some beautiful pictures of the Abbey and the surrounding area. Other hot spots on the East Coast are Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. Scarborough is very popular with holiday makers and the old castle stands out above the town.. Bempton cliffs are home to thousands of sea birds and some great photographs could be taken at either of these places. Flambrough lighthouse and the rugged cliffs beneath it are a photographers dream and for anyone looking for steam engines, look no further than Pickering where a steam engine runs daily to the village of Goathland better known as Aidensfield where the television series Heartbeat is filmed from. With such dramatic scenery and so many old and interesting buildings steeped in history, photographers can spend many hours capturing some wonderful images.
